Founder & Head Coach
Serinah is a proud Coolamon local, mother of four, and PDHPE teacher with a deep passion for health and fitness. She is a qualified Personal Trainer, Matwork Pilates Instructor, and Nutritionist, with further study in women’s core and pelvic floor health.
Serinah founded Maddox Group Exercise in 2017, which has grown into Grit Gym—a thriving, inclusive fitness community. She is passionate about helping people build confidence, improve movement, and develop lifelong healthy habits.

Lead Trainer
Tanner began her fitness journey through a school-based traineeship with Maddox Group Exercise, where she developed her passion for coaching. She is now a qualified Personal Trainer with additional training in working with older adults and individuals with disabilities.
Tanner also runs her own business within Grit Gym and is a registered NDIS provider, delivering personalised, inclusive training that supports each individual’s goals.

Athlete Program Coordinator
Jamie is the co-founder of GRIT Gym and specialises in elite AFL and soccer-specific training. Drawing on his strong background in both sports, he coordinates our Talented Athlete Program (TAP), where his passion for youth development and high-performance training helps athletes reach their full potential.

Group Exercise Trainer
Lawson is undertaking a school-based traineeship and is partway through completing his Certificate III in Fitness. He leads our running sessions and supports athletes with tailored training programs, from 1km events through to full marathons.

Personal Trainer
A proud Coolamon local, Paul brings years of grassroots coaching experience through AFL and cricket, having coached his four boys and their mates. Renowned for his strong training ethic, he leads our supervised Open Gym for young people, building confidence, discipline, and strong relationships with those he works with. He is also available for Personal Training.

Saturday: 7AM to 11AM
Sunday: by appointment only for sporting groups
